I’d like to start off by saying there are some fantastic listing agents out there selling bank owned homes. I particularly love working with the Erickson Brothers. With that said there are ALOT of bank owned listing agents out there that suck! Scott and I often use our blog to vent and tonight is one of them (for me anyway).

This last week alone we experienced situations with agents that made us turn red. Both Scott & myself dealing with our own shock and anger with a different REO agent. This last week might be overlooked but our experience with REO(& Short Sale agents) is consistantly aggravating. 

In both case, this last week, we had already experienced and/or heard of stories that support the poor reputations they have earned themselves, but it’s astonishing that these two agents continue to get more and more listings that they 1) can’t handle because they already have so many & 2) that they are managing poorly and doing a disservice to the bank they represent as well as to the community of professional Realtors that work hard to maintain a level of standards, courtesy and ethics.

I won’t reveal who these two agents are, nor will I mention the others that we encounter on a regular basis that infuriate us, but I will thank those fantastic REO agents out there that work hard, return calls, play by the rules and  know when they have taken on enough business that it’s time to add to the team so that they can continue good service to both their seller and those agents working to get their clients into a bank owned home.
