Sunday, May 31st, the Oregonian did a fabulous piece in the Home & Rental Section of the Sunday Oregonian. The article was on Interlachen and Fairview Lake and referenced a fantastic listing we have there. They were kind enough to offer us and a few of the other agents with listings on Interlachen a chance to promote an open house timed on the same Sunday the article was released… WHAT A HIT!

What really amazed us was not only the amount of people that came through but how many people were dumbfounded that the area even exists.  Interlachen (meaning “joining two lakes”) is a road that does just that, interlocks two lakes, the Fairview Lake & Blue Lake. Located in Fairview, Oregon just off  hwy 84 near Troutdale, this amazing community lies hidden.

What’s so great about it? Two lakes surrounded by fantastic homes… one lake for ski boats, jet skis, waterslides, and sounds of laughter from the nearby Blue Park while the other hosts only low motor party boats, kayaks & wildlife; Fairview lake is too shallow for anything motorized and so home inhabitants enjoy peace, sunsets & wildlife.  Two completely different lakes  each hosting a different lifestyle. Whichever your preference the area offers a vacation getaway feel while only minutes from the freeway!

So I want to thank you Connie Potter for such a wonderful write-up. Your article brought droves of people out to see what Interlachen has to offer, and I’d say over 70% of the people that came through the open house (and there were alot) had no idea the area existed. They arrived very excited to see what it was you had written about and none of them were disappointed.
