New Listings Slipping Slightly Coming into Mid-February

Looking at the daily market tracking for the Portland real estate market I’m seeing a bit of a dip in new listings coming onto the market for the past week. Yesterday for example there were 23 and on the 8th just 19 compared to the average of over 70 homes per day being listed; here’s that graph:

New construction is seeing a bit of a boost in their market share percentage both in listings and sales, with listings accounting for close to 15% of all new listings in the last few days and sales going from barely 10% to crossing over the 20% mark on over the weekend and still over 15% heading into the first of the week:

Other than that foreclosures are remaining fairly flat for the week with short sales getting a small increase and overall pending sales slipping slightly:

So, nothing crazy going on, just some slight notable movements in the Portland market.

Also, remember if you want a copy of this tracking report on a more regular basis, just shoot me an email from the Contact Us/Scott links around the site.
