Okay, it’s not a street it’s a Lane but I love it! I am so excited! Kristie Lane! Thank you Novastar! This is the best gift I’ve received in a very very long time! I have so enjoyed meeting the people in our community, watching homes getting decorated for the season and the opportunity I have been given to be involved with not just an amazingly talented builder (Tom Liesy of TaLiesy Homes NW) but with a developer that has strong ethics, is efficient at what they do and is so fun to be around as they do it! Yesterday, Monday October 11, The Oregon Business Development Commision informed Clackamas County officials that the state has approved the County’s plan to create “strategic investment zones,” which will offer 15-year tax abatements for large companies that establish headquarters within county lines. Clackamas County is comprised of many growing cities within the umbrella of McDonald Group real estate areas, including West Linn, Welches, Tualatin, Estacada, Gladstone, Government Camp, Happy Valley, Lake Oswego, Oregon City, Sandy, the villages of the Mt. Hood corridor (Mt. Hood Area Real Estate Guide), and the city of Clackamas. Businesses that choose to relocate to Clackamas County will find sweeping benefits on Clackamas real estate within these investment zones that are slated to cover over 900 acres of potential new construction and redevelopment. In exchange of these large-scale tax benefits, companies will give back to the county through the creation of new jobs, donations to community service, and the establishment of Clackamas County as a strong player in the national manufacturing and trade stage.

Estacada News, the popular Estacada-area retreat, Bagby Hot Springs, will experience temporary closures for several months as Mt. Hood National Forest service workers repair bath shacks, hot tubs, and other infrastructure. Workers began last week and are expected to be finished with their renovation in October. Bagby Hot Springs is located 40 miles south of Estacada via Highway 224 and Forest Road No. 70.

Green home renovations are now benefiting the silver set as well as Portland’s young, hip, urban crowd. A federally-funded set of renovations of a local senior-housing complex will leave apartments bigger, brighter, cleaner, and greener. Thanks to HUD Green Retrofit, many people who might not have the means or capability to improve the sustainability and safety of their homes will receive money and assistance to go the extra green mile, including seniors and assisted living facilities. is always checking up on the latest news coming out of Estacada, Oregon, the site of our gorgeous development Cascadia Ridge. This week brings great news from Estacada High School, which will finally receive needed improvements to their baseball playing field, thanks to help from the surrounding close-knit community. Next season, the Estacada Rangers varsity playing field will be ready for game time, with very little cost to the school.

It has been amazing that in this market we could have a new construction project as busy as we have been (especially in Estacada) but that’s what happens when you match amazing quality with an unheard of price! Initially we had a surge of first time home buyers but the market there has transitioned… we have all different age groups and lifestyles moving in and it’s exciting!
